32g Ipod Touch for cheap if you are lucky

I monitor the deal boards religiously and Saturday I saw that Staples was possibly clearing their 32g ipod touches for $148. I went there and they were still selling them for $299 so I was bummed out. Later I read that you needed to have the ipod scanned at the register to see the $148. I decided to go back and sure enough they rang up at $148 so I bought 3 of them. I plan to make a profit in order to buy this new fish tank. Just thought this was a good enough deal to pass along to my fellow fish buddies. I have my mom and another friend checking their Staples for me in other towns.

We only have a couple of Staples in town. I called one of them and asked about this deal. The girl said, "Yes, it's a valid price, but those sold out in a couple hours this weekend." She went on to say they had a little controversy with the item. Apparently two or three people came in at the same time looking for them, and one of the customers tried to grab all of the one's they had in stock for himself (sound familiar?) She said the manager ended up doing a drawing to see who would get the last one.

My store at the time had a lot left but they were still listed at $299 so I guess no one else was jumping on the deal yet, I could have bought all of them but I didn't wan to be too greedy.
