330 Gallon Tank BROKE!!

Well, yesterday i had a depressing discovery. I had found my 330gallon class had split from the silicone. But, of course that wasnt the worst part. The worst part was my mom. My mom didnt like the idea of 330 gallons of saltwater in the floor so she didnt belive me. Well when she got home shure enough she went syco. But, does anyone now the best thing to do to fix the tank?

Of course you can fix it, but this threads in the wrong board. Someone will move it for you I'm sure. We will need more info on the tank to know what to do. Some pics would help.

HOLY S#&%...Man, if 330 gallons cut loose in my house we would all be swimming with the fishes
. Sorry that really stinks, but I would think relatively easily fixed....I mean it's just silicone...

I would take everything that you can from the tank and put it in an extra tank or trashcan or something and then replace the tank.

Well, first of all it was pro made full glass, the support broke it was like that tough plastic, then all went downhill from there of course just the silicone isnt going to hold 30gal of water so it just split. I would get pictures if i knew how.

Oww, and about everything that was in it i put in a 55gal i had set aside for something like this, luckly all the fish are still alive. That i now of, as for the rocks i put them in the 55 gal and the leftovers in a trash can.

If it's just the silicone that gave way, you just need to dismantle that section of glass. Removing ALL the old silicone from any seams then reassemble. Now as far as repairing the support, You may be able to use a piece of acrylic. Bend it so it fits snugly over the edge of the old brace and use some weld-on to attach it to the old brace. It will be time consuming, but will work. Of course you could attempt to just remove the old silicone from the seam that split. Then reapply sili and press the seam back together. This would work if you could get all the silicone out, clean the edges well, and get a good amount of silicone back in between the two pieces. You will have to spread the seam out though in order to accomplish this. If there is a band that runs across the tanks top, you'll need to remove that all together regardless. Same goes if there's one at the bottom, if you remove the whole panel. Your going to need to repair the brace regardless. I have seen some build their own bracing from acrylic. Easy enough tio do if you have the right tools. Removing the entire panel and reassembling would be the best choice.
Also, if the brace just broke on its own, I would strongly advise to reinforce this better.
