Yes.Not all at once and only with saltwater.Do 1/2 or 1/3 at a time over a extended period of time.

i used to clean my bio balls 1/3 every other month. i was smart i bought 3 different colored bio balls so i would know what ones needed to be cleaned. but i now have a refugium.

I have a Refugium too. I like the idea of the different colored bballs.
