A hex tank is a much more difficult tank to keep than a rectangular tank of similar size. IMO, there is not much room at all for fish. It can be difficult to filter as well. What are the dimensions of this tank?
It is really very very difficult to even begin to answer general threads like this without more information of what you want to do with the tank in general.
