36 in vhos, to 48 in vhos???

i just bought a canopy with 36 in vhos and end caps.
i was wondering if i build a new 48 in canopy and stretch out the end caps to 48 in if it would still work???
i would think it would the bulbs are still the same on the ends but just longer

what size ballst is best a 440 watt correct!!!
the end cap thing could be done right???

yes it can be done i believe off hand they have 110w 48" VHO bulbs that will go. also the Icecap 660 is the best and most reliable to run it.
