38 gallon reef

So it's time for me to start looking for lighting for my 38 gallon. I am looking to basically put a variety of corals/inverts and what not in the tank along with 3 or 4 fish. I will also be placing a glass cover over the tank with small openings due to one of my cats. Any ideas on what type and brand of lighting I should purchase? Thanks!!

I would go with Metal halide if the funds are availiable. If not go with a good VHO setup. You should be able to keep most types of corals with the exception of most SPS and clams.

I have a 38g square, by oceanic. With a 150w hql metal halide and dual 30w atinics.
I'm happy with it, but 250w might give you more growth.
