4 Bulb Sundial T5HO

Will the 4 Bulb Sundial over an 18" deep tank be enough light for sps/clams? I'm trying to decide between the sundial and the Nova Extreme Pro. The Pro is $65 more but I would get 2 additional bulbs. The Sundial comes with moon lights and timers. Both are 'individually reflected' although I believe that the sundial is just a countoured single reflector.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks LOL. I have kept some lower light SPS under my sundial in the past but am going to be doing some testing on higher light ones with different bulbs. Either way you will want to swap out the bulbs because the current bulbs arn't that great.

Yeah, I had already planned on replacing bulbs shortly after purchase. I'm thinking about getting the Sundial and then the same site has retro Nova a bulb setups. All in all if I get 2 retros, reflectors, and the sundial I'll be saving money over the Nova pro.

Go for the PRO, the sundial would be OK except you want to make sure you are getting enough light out over the sandbed for the clams so the extra 2 lamps will really help out.
