HEllo, it has been a while for me here. I do have another light question. I have two 660 icecaps and I now only use one to run 4 110 watt 48 inch bulbs. I just never had the time to rewire them to run 3 bulbs. But now I am getting ready to replace the bulbs and I am going to make the time to hook them both up to run 60 inch 140 watt bulbs. 100 gallon tank, that isn't too much light is it? I was thinking of getting 4 white and 2 actinic. How does that sound? THanks.

That's not to much light at all... in fact you may still have a hard time keeping some light demanding critters... but you will be able to keep a good verity under those lights!!
I would do 3 white and 3 actinic but it's really just a preference.

3 and 3 so you can still do a dusk to dawn effect. It won't look to yellow or too blue that way either

By dusk to dawn effect, you mean have the blues come on first and off last? Maybe 2 blues and 1 white, then the other blue and 3 whites? I ordered them today. I had to go with the 48 inch bulbs though. So that kinda stinks, but I will have 7 total. 770 watts for 100 gallons. I only have 440 now so it will be an improvment.

3 actinic on one ballast
1 50/50 and 3 whites on the other
If you add even one white to the dawn/dusk it won't look very purple. Like Reefnut said, its all in what you like.
