I'm planning a 40g breeder than and want it to be primarily softies/LPS but I want a few SPS in there as well. So I need to figure out the lighting I'll need for a 40 breeder.
I was thinking either a orbit or coralife type fixture with a 10k 150w MH bulb with the two PC actinic bulbs or a 6 bulb T5 fixture.
I'm leaning towards MH (shimmer and all), but would I need a chiller if I just used the included legs to let it sit above the tank? Is this fixture (150w) enough for what I need? Or am I better off with a 6 bulb T5 fixture?
I did a search, even PMd a couple of people who have a similar setup but I don't seem to have an answer to my chiller question if I'm using the legs on the fixture instead of suspending it.
