The fixture is complete and assembled what I had planned was to remove the cylindrical white reflectors that are on the fix ture and change it to a single 6 foot homemade reflector with holes drilled for both bulbs to enter into the only thing I am worrying about is the present fixtue has the bulb placement as vertical not horizontal.i thought by bending the reflector down to the end of the bul I could compensate for that.

you have all the parts, just change it so the bulb lays flat instead of pointed down when you build your new fixture. Yes totally do-able

Do you have a picture?? I'm not sure I understand... If you have a canopy you could buy a couple spider reflectors (they come with the socket and reflector) or a couple sockets to install them horizontal and then make a reflector.
