I have just bought two LED grow lights from ofweek, here is the PAR reading, I am very confused now:
Spectrum ratio:
45W LED grow panel: 660nm/72pcs,460nm,/42pcs.
45x3W UFO LED grow light: 660nm/35pcs,460nm/8pcs,UV410nm/1pcs,IR730nm/1pcs.
While at the distance about 30cm(12inch),PAR value of the 45x3W UFO is 235mmol; And the 45W LED panel is 137mmol.
BUT,while at 50cm(20inch), the PAR value of the 45x3W UFO decreases sharply, it is only 87mmol; And the 45W panel is relatively higher, it is 105mmol;
100cm(39inch), the 45x3W UFO is only 22mmol; The 45W panel is 52mmol.
150cm(59inch), the 45X3W UFO is only 10mmol; The 45W panel is 27mmol.
The results is very very astonishing to me in fact, the 45W LED panel actual power is only 40W, and the 45X3W actual power is more than 78.821W(input currents are the same 630mA,input voltage : Red LEDs=2.6V,IR LED=1.7V,Blue and UV LEDs=3.6V,total power is 57.33+1.071+20.42=78.821W), but how can their penetration got such a large deviation.
I am not going to say which one is good or not, for both of them have their own advantage and disadvantage:
45W LED panel will cover a bit more compare to the 45x3W UFO, but at the 30-50cm distance, the UFO got more powerful penetration.
And the other bug problem is the 45W panel is easily got problem during the transportation, and the thermal problem is also its another bad issue.
But the prices of them have a large gap, the UFO will cost double money than the 45W panel.
Now,I don't know how to describe my feeling,but my 2 cent is the 45x3W UFO LED will not good while hanging more than 50cm over the plants.By the way, it seems very hard to post the other pics about the PAR reading.
