46 bow front center brace???s

i just bought a geisman(sp?) MH for my bow front. the center brace on my 46 bowfront creates a shadow. any sugestion on removing that brace? i was thinking of just cutting it out and replacing it with an acrylic brace. any other suggestions would be great.

i always heard you dont mess witht he factory brace, but i guess if your a pro its np

my friend bought a 45 that had a brace running perpendicular to the 2 long parallel sides and he decided to cut it. He said the tank bulges out a bit now. Its still in one piece though and that was at least 4 months. Thats just one type of tank though. Just thought i'd share a story. If you could replace it with something strong like acrylic i dont see a problem.
