just started keeping sps


^^^ this was a 1" frag like less than 6 months ago (or somewhere around ther), is now over 6" but has grown 4 of it in the last 3 months since i upped the lighting



got him when he was about 3" 2 yrs ago hes now about 5.5". plannen on an up grade for him he is my favorite, i was gonna trade him when he got to big but the frekin thing lets me pet it and brushes aginst my arm like a cat any time i put my hand in the tank so ive decided to start looking for a bigger tank in the next yr or so

ive been asking questions here since i put water in the tank (Jan 2009) and knew very little (still need to learn alot more) thanks every one for helping me get this far !

fourth tray ceramic rings, third tray bio balls, second tray pura complete (the 100g suff for about 8 weeks), and first tray filter floss
i have a nova extrem 39w t5 ho with 1 atinnic 1 10,000k, and a odessey 39 w t5 ho with 2 attinics and 2 10000k that i crammed on there

Its been a while, and have been busy with a new job but have been keeping up with a small weekly water change. Lost some small fish but evrey thing else is doing great. Did some upgrading and Ive seen some good coral growth aswell.

full day light

Up graded from a marinland to an eheim, and got an MP10

my 2 bulb t5 fixture took a crap, just got a LED fixture (all actinic 50/50 Royal Blue(450nm) - Blue(470nm)) and im saving for one more (all 10kk) to replace all my t5s.
currently have 3 10kk and one actinic in the t5 fixture.

what will win the fight GSP or Xenia


only 2 sps ive been able to grow. The blue one was a frag that had broken off from the base, only the base survived but is growing fast! The Monti has grown a few inches since i found a good spot away from corals that have been stinging it.


will post more picks when last 2 10kk bulbs come on
