48' JEBO LIGHT please tell me

Is a 48 inch lifetech aquarium compact light 220w a good light? I have a 55 gallon tank not sure which model but it has like 2 seperate parts to the hood.

dude, i got one a year ago...CR@P!!!!
both ballasts died in less than 2 weeks of each other...
get a retro kit, and get a hood made(or make it) you save 150$ with a kit vs getting a whole light bar.

personally i think a home made hood would be cooler..u could just run down to a local hardware store and pick up the stuff to make 1...i plan on doing it one day...now if only i was 16 years old...then i could work at jamba juice!
