48" Rimless Acrylic

I'm getting ready yo tackle this and i'm unsure of the thickness of material to go with. I really want to go rimless because i prefer the look. Tank will be 48 x 20 x 20. I can't find a calculator or anything to help me choose a thickness.
Also, should I just use 1/4" for the bottom pane since it will be resting on a stand. I'm tossing around the idea of using 3/4" for the front and back pane and 1/2" for the sides with 1/4" for the bottom to help save costs.

According to garf.org 3/8" thinkness. I'm not an acrylic DIYer, but the pages there seem pretty helpful.

Thanks, but that's for a Euro braced tank. Which I may just go ahead and do so I can use the cheaper Acrylic, the price jumps pretty good when you use 1/2 or 3/4.
