5 Gallon coral only

I want to start a 5 gallon coral only, after numerous hours of research this is the setup I want to go with. Would appreciate some input and any alteration suggestions.

5 gallon aquarium
Live sand from established tank
Live rock from established tank
Bio wheel 150 gph filled with bio material
15w led with blue and white leds.
Various coral frags from established tank
3 snails, 2 hermits, 1 starfish, 3 shrimps

Would not like to add fish but some people have told me that a dottyback or goby would be fine, although I think it's rather torturous for any fish being in a 5 gallon, let along saltwater species.

Hi,

Welcome to the site.

3 shrimps???? I would go with just one, and pass on the starfish too. A nano fish would be just fine. Dottyback ...no. A goby for a 5g...depends on the goby...

Possible small fish....
  • Yellow clown goby
  • Green clown goby
  • Rainford's or Hector's goby
  • Neon goby
    Greenbanded goby...personal favorite.
    Gold neon goby
    Catalina goby (likes it cold)

Most of these fish are for at least a 10g...but I think one little fish in a 5g would be okay.
