Just tinkerin' with the camera.
dull color morph of my bright green zoo's.

the greens are what they originally looked like. They're bright green under my 150w halide. They're brown under 130 watts of PC's.

tried getting a picture of the micro stars climbing in the chaeto. Didn't work but oh well. You can see an arm.

another micro star

and last, my red goniopora that I have nursed back from oblivion. It's slowly growing new polyps and extending farther.

Wow, love that last pic, very nice. Beth has some of those micro stars in her tank too...tiny brittles. Me, I have the asterinas...well had in my 37. There are just a few in my 46, which is fine with me. They really exploded into a huge population. I would rather not have that in my 46.
Again, great pics!!

Glad you like them. Yeah they're from the grunge i've been getting from the LFS. I think they've been mating too, because they population has exploooooded. I turn out the lights and then bang, they'll all over. I'm hoping when I transfer the rock with the zoa's on it, i'll transfer some of them as well. I've also been seeing amphipods scurrying about.
Thanks again!
Jason.

Very cool. I wouldn't mind having an explosion of those in my tank. The brittles pretty much take care of left over whatever. The asterinas were not really problematic, but I could see that they were having an effect on my coraline to some extent. Maybe that's just because of the numbers that I had

Do amphipods look like little bugs crawling around all over the place?

The hair is actually barely there the hermits do a pretty good job with it. As for the sand, i dust it off when I can however, my sleeper goby likes to drop sand on just about everything. But so far I haven't seen any problems. Thanks though!
