Back when I used to live on the ground floor and didn't have to worry about weight, I housed a 220g system with one each of: Fuzzy Dwarf, Antennata, Radiata, Fu Manchu, and Dwarf Zebra lion. (damn, what I wouldnt give to have that system again, esp with my new digital camera).
So if you want, and something that's on my mind when i move back to a ground floor condo, is putting all species of lions (5 above, plus Russells and Volitan) into a 400g.

I'd think so.
Just invest in a good skimmer and a good UV sterilizer, as my lions were always prone to bacterial infections. Attach them below the tank in a nice-sized wet-dry or sump combo and you've got one sweet tank that's fairly easy to maintain (esp if youre running RO/DI water).
Hard part would come into the equation when feeding, and ensuring each lion got adequate food. May take some precise spot-feeding to get them all fed three times a week or so.

I don't even want to venture a guess how much something larger than an 800g would cost. But setting them up with the right filtration and equipment, it would be quite a bit. Not to mention cost of upkeep.
For my 400g, just the Instant Ocean required to first set it up cost a hundred or so. Then like $20 a week for 10% water changes.

I purchased a 980 gal tank for $18,000. The price included all filters, sterilizers, skimmer, and fluidized sand bed. It was a great tank, but did not have room for it in my wall...so I sold it for $5,000. Try to find deals such as that if you can, but just be patient.
