55 gal tank occupants

i plan on turning my 55 into a salt water tank soon and i was wondering what sort of fish to put in .. i have ideas but i dont want to put to many that may get to big and not have a great living experience .. i already have a 30 long with clowns .. i want to have a few colorful fish ... any ideas

Hello there. Where in Queens do you live. I'm from Astoria and unfortunately the closest lfs is petland. As far as your new 55 gallon it depends on whether you're going to make it into a reef tank or just a fish only. For reef I would go with a royal gramma, purple firefish, jawfish, cardinals, etc.. These are just a few options that are reef safe, small and colorful. I have a 29 gallon with 4 fish but what makes it interesting are the inverts and corals.

there is a place on flatbush ave. in bklyn.. between ave. M and flatlands ave. called world class aquarium ... they are good and the advice they give seems to be right on ... there live rock is great and there fish look healthy
