55 gal tank

Can I put any aggressive fish in a 55gal tank? I really wanted a puffer and a trigger. All I have in the tank right now is 1 snail and 4 hermit crabs. But I'm thinking these fish won't be good for those little guys..(I'll give relocate them to a friends tank) ARe there any peaceful puffers, tangs or triggers? I just want want a tank that has some fish swimming.(not hiding) and some personality... suggestions please...???

You could put a picasso or bursa trigger in there with a dwarf lion of some type. I would say no puffers becuase of the inverts.

I had my eye on a peacock puffer that was really pretty. So i would have to pass along my inverts... I am just a beginner and thought any Lions were hard to keep??? My LFS had been trying to sell me a picasso trigger or blue trigger and the peacock puffer and a dwarf angel. I thought angels were a no no for beginners also. So it seems if I go with these agressive types I will only be having 4 fish at the most???
