55 Gallon Eel tank

i am geting a 55 gallon tank and would like to make it an eel tank. i would like
1 banded moray
1 Panther grouper
something else
now to the questions..
will that eel work togeater in a 55 gallon?
I would be using a hob filter. i would buy a glass lid and cut a hole in the back plastic so the lid hole would be really tight... is that ok?
what do i feed him?
i know the moray likes crustaceans so i was thinking of buying some ghost shrimp or hermit crabs and let them run around in there with him. would that work?
i would like to get a panther grouper in there and maybe something else.. would the grouper work and what else should i get?

the panther grouper can be put with fish like tangs, lionfish, big angels, and other similar sized fish, however not in a 55, i would stick to the grouper and maybe a dwarf lion and thats it, not much more than that... probably not the tangs or the angels, they just get to big
