55 gallon stock list

First time with anything anything other than a nano (3 tanks all under 20 gallons). I have a 55 that I am currently setting up to be a FOWLR tank for about a year before going to a reef. I was wondering how much LR everyone would suggest and what kind of fish and how many would be ok in a 55. I am thinking 20-30 pounds LR. I have 60 pounds of live sand, an excalibur skimmer, and a penguin 200 filter with biowheel removed (might make this into a refugium).
My wish list is:
lionfish (must have)
puffer (dogface or porcupine)
niger trigger
goby or lawnmower blenny
picaso clowns (pair)
small tang
PJ Cardinal
fire shrimp
starfish
any problems with these?

maybe like 1.5lbs per gallon. your puffer might peck the fins of the lionfish, goby and pj cardinal will probably get eaten by the more aggressive fish. shrimp and starfish might get eaten, picasso will get eaten.. not sure about the tang
but basically youd be overstocked with so many fish, especially with messy eaters. if youre going to have aggressive fish then youll need a really good skimmer
hope that helps some

the only thing i think would happen is at first your lion might eat the fire shrimp but the list looks nice good choices

In a 55 the only lion to consider would be a dwarf I think. And even then not very many other fish would go with it very well. Even a dwarf would likely end up eating the goby.
Both the Niger Trigger and Tang are going to get very big. Recommended tank size for either fish would be around 125G.
Most of the fish in the list you have are considered aggressive. It might be worth a look to do some research over in the aggressive section. Most of the time these fish are housed in larger tanks. And even then you cant have too many fish in there. Kind of a bummer really as some of the aggressive fish are also exotic.
