55 gallon tank with canopy

I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank with a canopy. It is the standard tank you can buy at PetSmart or any other pet store. I am going to convert it from freshwater to saltwater and would like to get better lights. My vonvern is heat buildup. Does anyone currently have a similar setup ? If so can i use VHO or power compact lights under this canopy ? I do not want to start a fire or have massive heat build up that could cause a major problem.

Unless you have some type of active cooling for the lights when getting into VHO, and MH, you wil either kill the lights and might start a fire.
