55 gallon tank?

i have a 55, and its sort of established. i was just wonderign how u have ur 55s set up, wat liting, wat filtration, wat substrate, wat inhabitants, and especially rock settup. where do u get ur lr. im in need of alot of it badly! i have only a few big pieces and teh rest r jsut cool little scraps, so it doestn really fill the tank and teh topis all empty

Well I get all my LR at my lfs. You can also buy LR from this web site. I have herd good things about it.
I used argonite for my substrate. You can also use some kind of play sand you get at home depot depending where you live. You want it a least 3" to 4" I would got 4" at least.
As far as lighting goes I only have 2 65 watt power compact retro kits. They are fine for now and I might be able to keep some corals but not to much.
What do you plan on putting in the tank? Do you want to do corals? Or just fish and LR?

I got all of my rock at the LFS but I heard this site has some good rock...not sure if it's cured though? setup in sig.

its cured and from what i heard has a lot of things in it. Its like one of those crackerjack boxes, what surprise will you find it, you will never know until you open one up

salty shark, u have a lot of fish for a 55, im asuming there all pretty small rite? i would order lr from this site, but u can only buy it in large quantities and very expensive

Seems I have a lot of small fish
3 Ocellaris Clowns - 6in. Total
2 Green Chromis - 4in. Total
2 Firefish - 5in. Total
Neon Wrasse - 2.5in.
Royal Gramma - 2.5in.
I might have a problem if they were messy eaters or aggresive towards eachother, but they aren't. And since my parameters are all in check I think I am in pretty good shape.

Accually for around $4/lb that's a great deal...expecially considering the quality.
