After setting up my 20 nano, my little brother, who is in 5th grade wanted to set one up at school for his class. His teacher said it was ok so he started up a fundraiser and he got enough money from that to set up a 29 Gal. with Current 130 watt PCs. and Emp. 300 HOB filter and BakPak Skimmer.
After this he has no money to buy the corals. So i told him i would ask around on the message boards for some donations. Anything like Brown zoo frags, GSP or Xenia would be very helpful.
I will reimburse for all shipping and packaging expenses.
If you have a small frag you would like to donate, please email me

Thank you in advance

I woulld like to donate my love and admiration for your brother to fundraise enough money to start a 29gal although he should of spent less money on a 6gal or somethin which would have been cheeper and had enough money leftfor some mushroom corals and 1 clownfish. Who is going to be turning the lights on and off? Whose going to be doing the water changes? Who is going to feed on the weekends? Who is going to take care of the calcium levels, salinity/top off levels? Personally, I think he should have gotten a small freshwater tank instead of a saltwater one.

ok.....well the lights are set on timers and even when the power goes out the classrooms in the whole school are set up on backup generators so that wont be a problem. as for feeding, you dont have to feed the fish every day, MWF feeding sched. would prob. be enough food. The water changes are done by my little brother, 10 percent every week. My brother will also check the Calcium and do all of the tests. M-F he is in school, so on Friday if he tops the system of with the RO water they have in the science class he should not have any problems until Monday or Tuesday with Salinity.
This is supposed to be a learning experiance for his class, and for a 5th grader he is extremely knowledgeable. He reads this board every day to make sure that he is doing everything right. Every week instead of a current event, he teaches the class, including his science teacher, something new about the tank.
I know that the people on this site are all for helping and i figured it would be a good way to help him get some simple corals.
Shoot me an email at the above address if you would like to help
Thanks Again
Rob
