6,700k for a reef?

Iam running 2x65w pc over my 23g. I have one 50/50 bulb and just found a 6,700k kicking around. Is this bulb good for reef use? I just have some polyps and GSP, and my clean up crew, and I dont think i will be adding any fish to this setup.
Thanks everyone.

The 6700k will provide better growth rates over similar wattage bulbs, but they are very yellow looking rather than white or blue/white most people prefer.
You might as well try if you need a new blub and its free. Otherwise, a 10k-14k would be better aesthetically.

My biggest concern was growing nuisance algae in the tank. I also have a spare 50/50, iam not that concerned about how it looks right now. Just wondering what would provide better growth for what i have in the tank the 67k or the 50/50?
Thanks

If you don't want the algae to grow, the only option you have is to reduce the lighting (none), reduce nutrients, or get something(s) that will consume it.
Algae happens.
