If you didn't see it do it and never noticed any attacks before I wouldn't assume the 6 line killed it because it was found dead. shrimp do die. had one for 3yrs woke up one morning and it was dead.

are you sure it didnt just molt. after shrimps molt they will hide as their exoskeleton hardens. People wee the shrimps old skeleton and dont see the shrimp for a couple days and think the worst. did the shrimp have meat to it, or did it just look like a shell?

no it was full of color and it was full, not just the shell.
when i picked it outta the water i picked it up by the antenna. with a molt u cannot, they usually tear off.

ok so i hought my peppermin was killed to. but its still alive.
its just short of a year old.
so i was thinking of adding few more shrimp to my 90.
i was thinking skunk, fireshrimp, and a peppermin shrimp.
can they be acclimated together if they come from the same tank?

ok i have foud out the problem, it was a lack of iondide i think. it may have died while trying to molt. i have bough some iodide to dose and also bought a tiny fireshrimp, he is a maroon alomst black and as they molt it will turn more and more red. i will get pics up later if anyone cares to see. it looks black and white.

personally, whenever i buy inverts from my fish store (Hidden Reef in Levittown PA)...I never drip acclimate them
I just temp acclimate them for 30-40 minutes..
I only drip acclimate fish mostly
crabs, shrimp, snails tend to be pretty hardy...they only require temp acclimation IMO when bought from your LFS.

Inverts are more sensitive to different water paramiters then fish, I would have acclaimated for 2 hrs.

i thought so too. i call the dang lfs and they say. oh..
drip acclimation!?
i havent heard anyone do tht in 20 years. i said i did it for an hour and they said oh tht is torture. they want to get into ur aquarium asap. and 1 hour is way to long.
im not sure wheather to try another one. or what.
i want to try another fire but whats the point.
my fire just passed away btw.

I would try to find another fish store if they dont recommend drip acclimation. The problem with your shimps may have started from them if they are not aware of proper care.

i didn't bother reading any of the responses so if this is a repeat, sorry. i have a 6 line and he kills EVERY shrimp i put in my tank. he's killed peppermints, cleaners, fire, and even a coral banded shrimps. i know it's hard to believe but i had to get rid of him cause i'd rather have shrimps than my 6 line.
