As for the gorgonian, Ali, as well as a few others, have said it is extremely hard to care for, and might last 8 months if you take real good care of it.
I have seen some very nice growth in less than 24 hrs. There was a few 'dead spots' on the gorgonian, in which no tissue was growing on. Over a week, some of the dead spots have completely disappeared. I only feed it DT's phytoplankton, blended up to smaller particles in the blender, 3x a week, and calcium level is around 480ppm.
