6G Eclipse set up

My husband and I have a 40G and 20G QT saltwater tank currently set up. My husband wanted to set up a new Eclipse system 6 in his office today while we were doing a water change in our QT tank. Our QT tank is a Hex 20G and had 20lbs of live sand in it which made almost a 5" deep sand bed, so we took out some of this seasoned sand and put it into the Eclipse6 to make about a 1-1/2 inch sand bed in the new tank. That left about a 3" sand bed in our QT tank which is fine with us. I also put about a gallon and a half of water from the QT tank into the Eclipse so that the sand was covered while we finished the water change on the QT tank. After the QT tank was done, I added some newly mixed water to the Eclipse till it was full.
The 25W heater is in, and everything plugged in, but I have the lights out since there is nothing in there except sand and water.
I should mention that my 20G Hex QT tank has never had meds or anything in it since no fish has had to be treated for anything yet. Currently it just has one Clarki clown in it waiting to be added to my 40G tank in a couple of weeks.
Is there anything else I need to do except wait now? Will taking sand out of my QT tank help the cycling process of my Eclipse6? I might add one rock as well. I currently have two pieces of live rock in my QT tank now, but was thinking of buying one live rock from the LFS for the Eclipse6. Are there any other suggestions? I know that with a small tank like this it will be a real challange because of the size. I also used RO water by the way.
My husband only wants a couple of clowns and a goby to be added gradually after the tank is cycled.
Thanks in advance for any responses to this post.
