7 gallon Minibow Front!!!

I went to my LFS over a week ago and saw a very cute White-lined Combtooth Blenny that I ended up buying. I thought he would get along well with my Bicolor Blenny but that was not the case  . The small Combtooth Blenny needed a new home so I ended up setting up this mini bow tank that I had lying around in my apartment.
It is a 7 gallon with 10lbs of live rock and live sand. Some of the rock, water and sand were taken from my 30 gallon tank so don't worry the tank is cycled. This tank currently has 1 White-lined Combtooth Blenny that's full grown (2") and 1 Fire shrimp that I took from my 30 gallon.
I wonder what other small fish, invertebrates and corals would look nice in this small set up.

What do you guys think? Any constructive criticism is welcome.

Yeah..there is not much color. I am going to get a few corals and invertebrates and maybe one or two small fish.
Any suggestions on what type of corals and fish would be good for this small tank? ***)
cheers :happyfish

I would stay away from xenia. They would overrun that tank in no time. Maybe start off with some zoo's and mushrooms. My favorite coral is frogspawn; it would make a nice centerpiece for the tank. What about a feather duster?
I would say that the blenny should be your only fish. He's way, way cool. :)

I think I would like a second small fish like a goby or something similar.....maybe a black clown......

In a 7 gal you really need to limit your fish load...you should be able to get 1 more but you would need to REALLY do some research...i would say no to the clown...maybe a firefish but that might be pushing it a bit too.

Yeah....I really like my Blenny :happyfish he stays pretty small(2" full grown). The picture does not do him justice at all. He is a lot more colorful and apparently this Blenny is not available for sale often.
cheers :cheer:

how much a 7 gal minibow cost ya? I really like it, if you'd liek to share some info bout it i'd be very happy :). And bioload wise, you are over maxed out, but I'd still add a clown goby of some sort. Im wanting a sub-10 gal tank. and plan on putting a tiny tiny shrimpgoby and a black clown.

There is a website dedicated entirely to 7 gallon minibow front tanks.
http://www.oc-creative.com/reef/index.asp#specs
There is a lot of information that can help you set up this small 7 mini bowfront tank. I paid $75 dlls (Canadian for this tank)and it comes with a 14 watt Flourescent bulb. You have to upgrade the lighting if you want to keep corals.
This Retrofit is the one I bought .......SunPaq Compact Fluorescent
15 inch,Single Lamp Retrofit, 1X32 Watt.
http://www.marineandreef.com/shoppro/power_sunpaq.html
You can also get SunPaq Compact Fluorescent 15 inch Dual Lamp Retrofit 2x32 watt if you want more light
It is a very cute little tank. Here a full pic so can get an idea of what it looks like.

There are so many cool things you can do with this small set up.....you can buy the Rio Nano Skimmer to help get rid of bad stuff.

Tank Specs
7 Gallon Minibow front
10 lbs of Liverock
10 lbs of live sand
SunPaq CF15 inch, Retrofit 1X32 Watt.
Maxijet 400
Visitherm Heater - 50 Watt
I have a Blenny and 1 Fireshrimp in there right now.
Check this tank out ...it is pretty cool and you can get ideas on how to aquascape and fish, corals and invertebrates that you can keep.

that may even be pushing it.

I think I can have a second small fish without crashing the tank. Some of you people have 3 or 4 fish in a 12 or 14 gallon Aquapod or Biocube and these 2 tanks don't really hold 12 or 14 gallons ...The 14 gallon Biocube really only holds about 12 gallons and the 12 gallon Aquapod only holds about 10 gallons. I personally think that 12 or 14 gallons are not enough for 3 or 4 fish but you guys still have them anyway.
cheers

LOL....I actually wanted 3 blue tangs..just kidding. I decided that this tank is way too small and sold it to a friend. I am now going to set up a 20 gallon long. This 7gallon looks very nice and it would be a nice nano but if I am going to spend big money on a tank I would rather to have at least 2 or 3 fish. I am going to sell the White-lined Blenny because am not going to set up the 20 gallon right away.
