72 gal tank/8watt uv ?

My tank has been established for 1-1/2. My original setup included an 8 watt UV. The bulb I replaced in November. I believe the turnover rate in one hour is 120gallons. So my tank turns about two times in an hour.
I'm currently running hyposalinity (see the disease forum for some of my posts) and I'm wondering if my 8 Watt is NOT sufficient. I purchased this on the recommendation of my OLD LFS.
Is an 8 watt large enough? If not what should I purchase? How many gallons per hour should be flowing thru the UV?
Any suggestions I would appreciate as I'm leary of calling my OLD lfs. Thank you.
Note: I did a 'search' on this website and found someone having 120gallon tank has 15watt uv.

Last night, I called 3 fish stores in my area and I got 2 different answers.
1) get 25watt for my 72 gallons
2) get 18 watt for my 72 gallons
Which one do I get? They both recommend one called customsealife w/doublehelix. This sounds good but I'd like to see what people on this BB think...
