After a lot of search of this forum i've been inudated with information overload on different skimmers.
I am starting a 72 gallon reef tank.
I am leaning toward Euroreef or it's close relative the ASM (i think it's asm.)
Which one would you recommend?
OR
Would you recommend a different brand?
I had a berlin classic on my aggressive and I have been quite displeased with the work it's done and how finicky it is to tune it.
Characteristics I am looking for - Performance,
Low Maintenence, and ease of use / adjusting.
Your help is greatly appreciated! :help:

My borther has a 72 gallon reef, and runs a precision marine bullet on his tank. He loves it, and he also has a euro reef. The euro reef is not being used right now, but it is also agreat way to go. There isnt a lot of adjustments to make with the er.

I'm planning on going Euroreef, just needed some feedback.
Doesn't an ASM have the same design as the Euroreef, something about the Euroreef company splitting one remaining euroreef and one becoming ASM.
Has anyone used an ASM Skimmer? Does it's performance equate to that of a Euroreef?
Thanks!

I don't own a euroreef or asm but I read the same thing about how the 2 people that owned euroreef split up and one of the guys made a new company (asm) which is the same design as a euroreef but made out of a little cheaper materials. I think they used some kind of other plastic instead of acrylic. I saw some pics of the asm skimmers in action and they stuff in the collection cup was really nasty like the euros.

I have a 72 and I use a Kent Marine TE skimmer. It requires no maintainance. I just empty it every few days. It produces some of the darkest and skankiest junk ever.

I have a smaller Euroreef on my 55g. I really like it. The only minor issue I have is that the drain riser is sometimes hard to get to stay all the way up.
