Okay i made a lil head way with this...
ive got holes drilled... i have a new stand and hood that sits eye level!
Also a 50breeder sump, O and pvc piping is already done so really i only need the expensive stuff.
I plan on getting a SWC 160 or the next size up skimmer, a heater which isnt to bad on the bank, and another stark led light...
o and a return pump which is gonna be the top enhim pump...
Maybe some pics tomorrow...im picking the stand up tomorrow. We drilled the tank tonight.
Its gonna be a peninsula tank so u can view it from both sides!
Bout time i did something with it...

Sounds like good progress! I never thought of running a 75 as a peninsula tank - but since your gonna, and Im sure you'll stack all the LR in the center of the tank, I really think a scopas tang would do fine in there. I remember that you were inquiring on one. Also, are you gonna to a turf scrubber? Now that I;ve verified the effeciency of the one I did on the 475, i give them 2 fins up versus the old school refugium. Post some pics D!

I did my 75g like that too...all the equipment needs to go on one narrow side, it was quite the challenge. Where did you drill your holes in the tank?

well we drilled 5 holes! 3 up towards the top...where ill have a overflow!
2 on the bottom...where the pvc will run all the way down to the other end of the tank and come up for the returns.
Super excited about it...
all the equipment will be in the sump flower minus maybe two korillia or an ecotech...
ill deff take some pics later...
the previous owner of the stand and sump did have a turf scrubber so if its already set up i may run one..
all the LR will be down the center and back up against the overflow...im thinkin i will add two more chromis and a scopus.
everything from my 36gal will go in this tank too!
I figure ill need some more aragonite, a lil more LS and another 30pds of rock, give or take.

ive got a mentor type fellow hobbyist whos helpin me out so im not sure why we needed all the holes lol. He said it would help silence the overflow. Also he said when i was ready to plumb it he would help me!

Are you planning to stock the tank heavy??? Skimmer is rather large for the tank. Check the other forum I seen one at a decent price for sale.

??? Okay.... pm me wat ur talking about lol....
this was just a skimmer that was suggest to me. I do stock and feed kinda heavy... also i figured with the sump volume the system would be somewhere around 90-100gal!

Can't wait to see some pics. But you are probably rigging stuff up on the tank. How are you going to flip all the live stock. Will you do a cycle?

ill prob just start it all up and start a whole new tank, than acclimate everything else and slowly add the LR over.
Im not sure if im gonna completely start it yet. Im kinda getting everything together so when im ready to start it i can!
My gf and i are in need of a house at the moment!

Is that a crack in the tank where you drilled? Isn't that a serious problem?

You can reuse the live rock and live sand....just rinse the sand real good in saltwater....it will help with the cycle.

Thxs for the support! Deff a work in progress...
Yesterday i cleaned out the sump...lot of LR rubble in it so i put that in a bucket with my clean LS and threw away the sand that was in it!
Its been soaking with water and vinegar over night so when i get home ill scrap watevers left with a razor and rinse well.
I got some fine sand paper and some danish oil for my sand...im hopefully gonna start that today too....
busy busy busy...on top of all that i did w/c's on my tanks and cleaned the filters....
