Well i purchased my tank and stand on saturday and am getting ready to start setting things up here is a pic of the setup i am looking at doing Sorry for the lack of artistry..
The top is the display tank 75 gal
Bottom is sump/refug 30 gal
Overflow will be a DIY that i found others have done on this message board
Drains into sump on left side where skimmer(Seaclone(for right now anyway)) is then 3 baffles then the refuge then three more baffles along with eggcrate(grey) and then to the return pump (pink)..
Specifics
Live rock (Display ~150lbs ... Refug -- ?)
Live Sand (Display ~ 80lbs ... Refug -- ?)
2 X 200W heaters (in refuge)
SeaClone Skimmer (temporary)
Powerheads to provide enough flow in tank
If during the cycle the temp gets too high and cant be controlled i will add a chiller to the return line.
Lighting
Outer Orbit Pro Series HQI/T-5/LED Lights 48" -- 529 Watts
What i would like help/suggestions on is the flow rate -- what flow rate should i have going to the sump and pump size going back to the tank? Also any suggestions on my design would be greatly appreciated.. This time around i want to do things right..
Thanks!
Justin
