The tank is still cycling, but I was wondering if I could go aggressive with an 80 gallon? I know many aggressive fish require a larger tank, but what are some aggressives I could put in an 80? Also, could the tank also house an emperor angelfish?

Its funny how everybody who mentions setting up an aggressive tank always wants to know if they can keep an Emperor Angel. But, like I always say, they need at least a 120 gallon to thrive and are very prone to diseases, especially ick. They really aren't good to go with triggers and lions anyways. You could have many kinds of fish in an 80 but most people would probably tell you to get a Lionfish, trigger, and eel. But you can also think about getting a wrasse, possibly the Harlequin Tusk, or Hamlets or Puffers, and really I could go on for awhile but those are basic fish for aggressive tanks. Of course you cant fit all of them in an 80 but you could pick from 3 of them.

Some other cool wrasses you could have would be the Thalassoma wrasse, which includes the Lunar wrasse. Wrasses from this genius are very active and make exelent aquarium fish. Righ now I have a Female rainbow wrasse and it's the most active fish I've ever seen in my life. It doesn't stop of one second, always moving. TJ
