90g Setup

Hi. I plan on buying a 90g Long (48Lx18Wx25H) from GlassCages. I am aiming for a 20x per hour water turn-over. I am using an overflow and refugium of unknown branding (DIY I expect) It is rated for 800 gph or a 150g tank. It includes a skimmer, light, and pumps as well. I plan on having a shallow bed of sand (1"-2") in my main with a slightly deeper one along with some Chaeto in the fuge. With 3 additional Maxi-Jet 1200s (creating a total flow of 1685 gph) would I be pretty good for a FOWLR and *perhaps* a few zoos and xenias? I also plan on purchasing a 216w lighting system.
My stocking list is :
1 Yellow Tang
2 Percula Clowns
1 Royal Gramma
1 Pink Watchman Goby.
Thanks :happyfish

Like I've told you in your other post, some zoos may lose their coloring due to insufficient lighting, but they'll live, just not as pretty as they can be under MH's! A friend of mine is having the same exact problem right now. His tank is only 38 gallons and he's got his fire & ice under PC's, I think 230w? His Fire & Ice Zoas are losing their coloring and not looking too pretty, my Fire & Ice is thriving and looking great with a few new polyps popping up all the time. :happyfish

Ah, well, if they won't be healthy I think I will leave the corals for a tank in the future.
Now that I'm going with a FOWLR, what lighting should I try for? I like that soft white feel, but I'm not exactly sure how to replicate it. Would a normal 48" hood (the kind looking a bit like two separate hoods) with a couple of white actinics do the trick?
Thanks

That would do it, but it won't be as bright and pretty like a MH can do for you. Even PC's looks better then regular flourescent. But it will work!!! :happyfish

Well, I don't see much point in buying a MH without corals XD
Would two Coralife 50/50s for 8h a day do the trick?

You can do up to 12hrs without a problem. I used to run coralife 50/50, but when I bought my MH's, it was like WoW!!! I run both of my salt tanks in my bedroom and we looked at our other tank going ah, then look at this one going AHHH!!!, what a BIG difference!!! But 50/50 would work! :happyfish
