911 i need major help puffer 911

ok i got this puffer from pet co and now that i brought it home i think it is a green spoted puffer and should live in brakish water but they sold it to me as a salt water fish? can it live in salt water? or did they miss sell me? or did I miss catoragized it.
plez help
should i take it out of my tank as soon as posible?

i had sea horses and they loved it and i kept it in there cus i like it.

yes tey are brackish but they migrate to saltwater in adulthood.

im acclimating my puffer ( the same) to saltwater right now

It is a green spotted puffer -it will be fine in the saltwater. I've kept them from infancy to adulthood and progressed them from freshwater to saltwater accordingly.

If it was in salt when you bought it, its already been acclimated for salt..Keep it in salt.. :notsure:

This is my green spotted puffer. He started in fresh water now he' sbeen in salt for about a month and is doing great!
