Hey guys, i am setting up a 10g. for my clowns and would also like to do some corals. I ordered the 96W coralife quad PC fixture (20") due to budget. What type of corals could I do with this? Thanks in advance!

Zoanthids, mushrooms, xenia, leathers, and if you put them at the top you can keep some lps like frogspawn and hammers.

Yea, that much wattage on such a small tank, id give ya the thumbs up for em. You just cant do the clams, but I think u'd even be able to give yer clowns a nice rbta to host.

No anemone on a 10 gallon. The tank is so small that the water parameters would fluctuate (sp?) very often.

Does that quad fixture have 2 bulbs - both 50/50? i am thinking about getting one simply for propogation to support my addiction, where did u find it? is it a retro or a hood? what kind of filtration are u using?

I dont mean to hijack this thread but, ViPeR_930 I thought you told me I could not keep a hammer?? You just contridicted yourself......  If I get 2 more bulbs I would have 100watts over my 10g, whats the difference between the 100watts of mini compact compared to the 96W coralife quad PC????What am I missing??

saltywhit67 the coralife 96w quad fixture is a complete hood that sits on top of a glass canopy. It is a single bulbe with 4 tubes...2 actnic and 2 10,000K. It really is a very good unit in my opinion. Just a bit pricey!

Sorry. The research that I was refering to in your thread was done after I made the reply here. Didn't dig deep enough the first time I did my research for my own frogspawn.
