A beginners question please help

I have a 100gal FOWLR and a 75gal I want to make a reef out of.
I have a 29 trickle sump and a 20gal refuge. My question is where do I
put the sump? On the reef or the FOWLER?

i guess it would depend on where you needed it. whats your current setup on each tank?

I assume by trickle sump you mean a wet/dry? In my opinion, the refugium would be best suited for the reef, but you could also incorporate a sump to your reef to keep equipment (skimmer, heaters, etc.) concealed from your display tank and it wouldn't be too costly...
