Got in this morning and noticed that my mushroom and finger leather had been munched on. Neither is in serious harm Since this has never happened before I think the culprit is the newest member...a peppermint shrimp. Got him for the aiptasia and now that it is gone am wondering if he is looking for other food sources.
Stock list:
10 blue leg hermits
1 sally light foot
1 peppermint shrimp
1 black spiny urchin
1 percula
1 foot long engineer goby
1 yellow mimic tang
5 nerite snails
corals:
3 rics
1 pipe organ
1 finger leather
1 cluster of zoas
1 mushroom
Am I right or is there another villian in the tank?

it might have been the sally lightfoot. they have a reputation of being very peace when first introduced, and then turning into monsters after a couple of months when they've become established. I've never heard of a peppermint eating corals.

I've never had any problems with my urchin. They are very nocturnal, however, and it did happen at night...
Good to see a fellow phi delt on the boards!

Likewise on the PHI! Now I can't find the shrimp. I think I'll put the sally in the fuge for a while and see what happens.
