Thanks guys,
I've had a hard time identifying them. The first pic I have on almost every rock of the tank. The second pic I only have the one.
Been having a hard time figuring out how to keep them healthy. Surprisingly they both seem to like lower amounts of light. i.e. running the MH's only 1-2 hours a day.

My other guess would have been something similar to a sun coral which don't need light to live. My only suggestion would be to have them in an area of low light and try spot feeding them. They look pretty attatched to that rock though. Have you attempted to spot feed them?

They both seem to be photosythetic. They were both bleached but I stopped running the MH's to cure an cyno issue. Once I did that and just ran 2 96 watt Ac's on a 72 gallon bf, the color started coming back to both of them.
So, I think that the artifical reef they came from off the coast of southern florida was from deeper water.
I am going to try to slowly acclimate them to the MH's. Adding maybe 15-30 minutes extra a week for a couple months and see how they do.
luckily I don't have any other photo coral to keep except 5 zoo polyps, but they seem o.k. with the lower level of light for the last week or so.

Any spot feeding for the first coral?
Nope. The first coral was completely white 2 weeks ago. About 4 days after cutting the MH's down to an hour a day they looked like they do now. And started growing quickly. All the little polyps were the same height a week ago.
i have clusters of those all over my rock. they are all growing and regaining color now.
Only 1 of the second coral.
I do though dose the tank with DT's phyto three times a week because i have 2 flame scallops.
They aren't the prettiest things in the world, but i'd like to keep the healthy while keeping other coral cause they are completely attached to the rock all over the tank.

The only reason I asked was because I saw feeder tentacles and polyps that looked like they would accept feeding. I would try it. It wouldn't hurt and it might help with overall growth and health.
