Played around a little with the cam while the lights were off . . . this is what came of it.
First: A rare pic of my serpent star and clown defending her home.

And here is her mate and his home (I think he keeps a mistress over there)

And my favorite coral (which I know only a little about)
Astrangia sp. - A nocturnal, non-photosynthetic LPS coral that is ridiculously hardy. Its bizarre really how much this coral can stand, and man does it pack a punch!!! Took out a xenia colony!

definitely not a curley cue . . . it has a calcerous skeleton (not visible in the picture).
Here is another pic (not my own):

Mine actually extend throughout the day...It actually caught a Bristle worm yesterday and gobbled it up...very cool.

Feed them some brine and they will multiply like Rabbits...just make sure you can stunt their growth by limiting the size of the rock they grow on.

007, your clowns are beautiful. They are so bright and colorful. Where did you get them? Where they from this site?
I am planing on getting a pair from this site as soon as they reopen. The ones I see at the LFS by me are so dull and drab in color.

They were purchased locally from a breeder. I also attribute it to feeding formula one, which claims to enhance color.
arjayl,
The astrangia I have also open during the day periodically depending on if there is food in the water. Perhaps I should start feeding mine as they are not nearly as full as yours are though. I have noticed though that they eat anything that they can catch.
