A few of these on my new LR

Im relatively new to the hobby so I am willing to bet this is a pretty common find, anyone tell me what its called and if it is good or bad?

Aiptasia anemone. Bad pest. Do a search on the site here and you will see how to get rid of them.

wow thanks glad you caught that one for me I had no idea just thought it was a soft coral or something thanks man

heated up some water in the sink and poured it into a bottle that had a whole in the bottom connect to some tubing. I held the bottle bove my head and shot heated watter at them in the tank the small ones appeared to be torched immediatley, but the big one still has some tentacles hanging out. Did I not get enough hot water on him or will he die over a few days?

so the water did not kill it but my LFS had some reef safe stuff that I applied with a syringe it killed it immediatley
