A few Queations about a Porcupine Puffer...
Im thinking about purchasing one and was wondering.
Any special needs?
Do you have to De-Worm them?
Do they get Ich easy?
Do you have to trim their beak?
How fast will it grow if its fed good?

I've had my porc puffer for about 5 months now and he doing good. I'm not sure about de worming. I haven't had to do it. He hasn't gotten Ich and I check almost daily. I keep snails in my tank(he like to hunt them), adn I also feed him clams in the shell. Biting inot these help to keep the beak trimmed. I got him when he was a little over 2 inches and now he almost 5 inches. Make sure you have a large tank because they will grow to about 1.5feet. They are very curious and friendly. Mine always comes to the front of the tank, whenever some comes by. I was able to hand feed him in about a week. As far as tankmates he is currently in with a foxface and a clown. They all stick pretty close to each other including resting in the same cave. Good luck!

They need a variety of foods soaked in vitamins...

You should deworm, if you need more info on this, I am sure Beth can guide you or I can get it for you.
Do they get Ich easy?
Very easy, this is a fish that should be quarantined, even after the move to the display tank they need watched.
Do you have to trim their beak?
Not if they are fed the proper diet, clams, crab legs, mussels, raw shrimp, LR to pick at, and so on...
How fast will it grow if its fed good?
My understanding is they grow fast until they hit 6 inches than slow down....
