A general cleaning question?

Hello,
My question is, I have some brown algae on my glass. I get it in the summer from the extra light on my tank. So when you clean it do you vacuum while scraping it, or do you scrape it all then vacuum. I bought a nice magnet yesterday so I can keep it under control now. I guess, I just want the least amount of stress on my fish and corals.

Nope just use the magnet and the algae will fly around in the tank to be absorbed by coral, taken out via filtering. No worries here.
