I Have given up on converting mt wet/dry to a fuge, so im making one from a a old acylic tank i got from the LFS It is about 40 Gallon,( Its is 24" across 18" deep and 20" tall) and parts from a old Nano tank. I drilled it in the bottom corner for the return bung.
Now I need a intake. Easy just a down pipe.
I plan to block of the first 7" across for the intake, heaters, and skimmer.
The rest will be for sand, rock, critters, and algae. What do you think of this for a bubble trap. I took the back out of a old Nano I had the lights went out on. Think it will work on its side, If I block of the open end, and old return outlet. then open the intakes up a little. Hell who know maby I found a good use for a Nano
I had 1 crack no love is wasted on them
And yes I plan to cap off the upper 2 holes in the tank
Any thoughts? will It work?

Well I guess that isnt a good idea. But why I was a lowes I got a hell of a deal on acrylic
. Hers a Idea for yall. go to the glass cutting area of your local lowes. If you see half or damaged peices in the corner of the glass cutting cage you get a hell of a deal on it.
I managed to get enuff scrap there to make 4 17 1/4"X14 1/2" 3/8 thick plates for baffels for $5 each. So IM setting it up like i have seen most. Got them glued and silicone in. It says 24 hours for full cure so Its waiting to be tested.
I left 7" for a skimmer upgrade later.
