A Green Moray for the living room..?

Before i'm told i'm insane, allow me to explain.
Im currently a student studying marine biology, and my focus in course material is going to be big eels, mostly Gymnothorax
. I've been into saltwater tanks for a few years, my current tank being a 90g FOWLR (with a 20g sump, 20 gallon fuge, 10 gallon nano), and my 10g nano with my fat red dragonett. I recently found myself with a 150g tank for little to no cost, and in great shape i may add. Im wanting to get a green moray, smaller better then bigger. (observing the full life cycle would obviously be the ultimate goal, as well as keeping the beast of the sea in the tank). I realize a 150 will not be able to be 'its' home for ever, and obviously with the addicting nature of the hobby, a upgrade will be in the future as seen fit. (i mean common, i've updraged tanks about 6 times in 2 years ) (Also, my course director has some contacts with some large scale aquariums, so 'its' fate will be well protected)
Im looking for first hand experience with this great creatures and what all you have done to facilitate their captive worlds.
So far, im planning to use a 55 gallon sump, baffled up, and coupled with my MRC-MR2 skimmer, and then i also plan to utilize a eshops sump with bio-balls, and then 2 hang on the back overflow boxes with prefilters in them. I'm going to go super-heavy on the mechanical filtration combined with studious cleaning of the media to combat the high waste levels. I also have about 40 lbs of rubble in my current fuge (crawling with thousands, if not millions of pods - we'll just say my mandarin is well fed[ cheato, mangroves, some red titan, and some garciliria ), about 100 lbs of liverock in my 90g, and about 50 lbs of live sand. (ill add more sand and rock as time goes on)
Im planning on dismantling my current system, and moving its contents to the 150. current fish are: 4'' sailfin tang, 5'' hippo tang, 1'' clown goby, 1'' fire fish, 4x 3'' cromis.---- the clown goby will move in with my mandarin, and the firefish aswell. Im hesitant on the tangs- from what i read, most morays ignore the tangs do to low amounts of 'meat' and their fast speed and fiesty nature. (i can always re-home them, though i am a bit attach to my hippo
) I realize the cromis will most likely become snacks for the eel, but im willing to let a few 2.00 fish play their part in nature.
simple lighting, most likely just T8's, no need to be fancy. Heavy duty lids - ill make a canopy later with locking latches.
To all the green moray owners out there, share with me our experience and thought on my plan! (also considering a tesselata )
Thanks so much in advance!
