a long move for fish, will it work?????

i got a killer job offer in california and i am probably gonna move there. i got a 75gal sw setup right now and was wondering if you guys would give your oppinions on moving my livestock. or selling them and start over when i get to cali. its a aggressive setup. livestock as follows:
snowflake eel
yellow spotted snake eel
3 damsels
undulate trigger
niger trigger
the yellow spotted snake eel is very very rare around here. i have never even saw one on the internet for sale so thats why i kinda wish they could make the trip. you guys please post your idea's and maybe some ways to transport them. thanks for the help guys.

are you driving? or?
you might be able to ask your lfs or a friend that has a sw tank that could hold your fish for you and have them shipped to you once you are there and have the tank ready for them,
i see a problem though as you are setting up the new tank the h2o water ect is going to come from a new source and you will have a new cycle to deal with, but if you plan well and pack them up correctly you may be able to move them with you, it is a time thing

Just some food for thought, resealable 5gallon buckets. If you are driving straight thru put them in the smoothest part of you ride if possible. That way you will have your water already there and you can set the aquarium back up asap. Taking it that you have LR also you can do the same with it. I have transported fish with this method and have great success with it. Good luck on your move and your new job. Best wishes be with you.

is it possible to set up a tank in cal then move your stuff? we moved our tanks down the street in a few hours and it went through a cycle...(followed all tips/advice given)
rubbermaid containers...for water, for lr, for inverts, for fish. use a powerhead and heater for the fish/inverts. keep the ls or cc wet, keep as much of the orginal water as possible, keep lr wet,
btw, make sure you can lift whatever you put in the containers...
if possible have some new saltwater mixed (agged and airated) ready to replace any water you lose.
have your test kits near by and keep an eye on fish/inverts for a few days after tank is set up
I've heard of many people moving tanks without a problem...and many who have had a problem.
