I just got this CRAZY looking coral. I have never seen it anywhere and neither did the pet store where I got it from and when I got home I broke the rock to split it up and out poped 2 tiny lobster looking things about a half inch each. they have A HUGE claw for their size and they started fighting and they was making all kinds of poping sounds. I put them in a cup and they are still there. I will get a picture of them and post it. What could it be? is it bad for my tank?

Here is the pic of the shrimp. And when the coral blooms out I will take a pic of it. What is the biggest pixal picture I can put on here. My 5 mega pixal will not fit and I just went to 2 megs on this one. I did not come out that well. Wait a sec I use a Kodak Easyshar c340 and I can only have a 500 * 500 so how do I change it from 1500 *2000 something to 500 by 500? haha.

Just make the largest dimension 500 and the other will naturally fall smaller and you will be ok.

Is there any reason to keep them in my tank? they will be in a frag tank. I'm thinking I just want to flush them down the drain haha.

They are neat and keep your sand moved around. Also they will pair up with a shrimp goby if you get one, like a yellow watchman goby.

I looked at your other thread, I have no idea. Is the whole thing soft or is there a skeleton under there?

Yup thats what I have. The LFS said it's called a purple green shoom. Feed it a lil froze brine once a week.

Definintly a pistol shrimp. Please dont feed anything in your tank frozen brine shrimp... There is nothing nutritional in them what-so-ever...

Ok so then what do I feed it? Seems to be growing good over the last 3 months that I've had it. And there seems to be a few babys in there now.

you dont need to feed the mushroom anything IMO. it will grow on its own. feeding anything raw and meaty in small pieces wont hurt.
