A powerful return pump to replace powerheads

I currently have a eheim 1250 return pump, i don't know how many gwh it produces, but i am thinking about getting a powerful one that can pump back with enough pressure so i can eliminate my two upper powerheads. so i am thinking one that i can put a Y in the hose and let water enters left and right side of tank. now here's my questions. has anyone done it this way? and if so, there are "pressure rated" pump, and circulation pump, so if i want to eliminate powerheads by using a powerful pump, should i get a "pressure rated" pump as a return pump???

The only reason you would need a "pressure rated" pump is if you plan to use it in a canister filter or something that adds pressure to the system. Even if it operates through a UV sterilizer it will not add pressure. Circulation pumps will not see extra pressure even if you use a multi-outlet return.
